Financial Aid Advisor I - Processing (Higher Education)

What you will do

• Review student files, application data, and ISIR records to process and adjust financial aid awards.
• Resolve data discrepancies and determine appropriate aid eligibility, award amounts, and loan periods.
• Communicate with students, families, and campus representatives by email, phone, and in person.
• Manage financial aid processing reports and ensure files and documentation are complete and accurate.
• Prepare, scan, validate, and archive financial aid and scholarship documents, including check deposits.
• Support departmental events, workshops, presentations, and cross-training activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; no prior experience required.
• Must work onsite in College Station, Texas.
• Must be literate in English and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work with spreadsheets and data.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, judgment, and customer-service skills.
• Must be in good standing on all federal student loans and maintain that status during employment.
