Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java/JavaScript)

Location: On-site in Columbia, Maryland, US, or Annapolis Junction, Maryland, US. Limited telework may be available once fully up to speed, as tasking permits.

Salary: $174,400–$220,300 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software for cyber-threat intelligence analysis.
• Build and integrate user-interface, application-service, and data-layer components.
• Modernize malware analysis and develop metadata-storage techniques for knowledge management.
• Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues while maintaining security, performance, reliability, and software quality.
• Prototype new mission tools, analytics, algorithms, and techniques for mission-related problems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders through requirements refinement, design, code reviews, testing, releases, documentation, and deployment.

Requirements

• Professional software-development experience with Java and modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience with Node.js or comparable server-side JavaScript frameworks and Vue.js, Vuetify, or a comparable front-end framework.
• Experience designing, querying, and maintaining relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful services and APIs, and using Git or a comparable source-control system.
• Ability to diagnose software problems, deliver solutions with limited supervision, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Columbia or Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, malware analysis, or another mission-focused analytical domain.
• Experience with Spring or Spring Boot and automated unit, integration, and user-interface testing.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, continuous integration and delivery, and secure software-development practices.
• Experience with Linux, cloud-based application development, data integration, data normalization, or multi-source information correlation.
• Experience in Agile teams and direct collaboration with end users or mission stakeholders.
