Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend/.NET/Vue)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid role with prioritised office presence

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications for the Research Topic Management platform using .NET, Vue.js, and Nuxt.
• Own full-stack projects from specification refinement and architectural decisions through delivery, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Modernise legacy systems, including migrations from Angular to Vue and Nuxt.
• Design and troubleshoot distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous integrations.
• Optimise SQL Server performance, application scalability, responsiveness, and reliability.
• Use AI tooling for specification-driven development, code review, testing, and code analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in .NET Core or .NET Framework.
• 3+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks and strong knowledge of Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Strong SQL Server expertise, including performance tuning, indexing, query optimisation, and production troubleshooting.
• Extensive REST API experience and a solid understanding of distributed system architectures, microservices, and micro-frontends.
• Experience with testing, code reviews, Kanban, and end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with regular office presence in Madrid.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nuxt, GraphQL, NoSQL databases, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience applying AI to product features and engineering workflows.
