Staff Software Engineer (Marketplace)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; onsite and office-first. Visa support is available if needed.

Salary: 79,000–89,000 DKK per month.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product development for the Marketplace team.
• Define system architecture and technical direction for scalable production systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to shape solutions and oversee technical implementation.
• Lead architectural and software design sessions and coordinate with engineers across the organization.
• Raise engineering quality through reference implementations, evolving code standards, testing, deployment, and observability practices.
• Mentor senior colleagues and support continuous learning without direct people management.

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one part of the PHP/Laravel and Angular-based technical stack.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and system design.
• Senior-level experience designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable production systems end to end.
• Experience in product development with a focus on quality and value delivery.
• Ability to communicate strategic trade-offs clearly and lead deep technical design discussions.
• Ability to work onsite in the Copenhagen office.

Nice to have

• Experience with TailwindCSS, PostgreSQL, Redis, Claude Code, and serverless infrastructure on AWS.
