Salary: $99,719–$128,513 annual salary in the greater Seattle area.

What you will do
- Build, launch, and maintain customer-facing marketplace features for the Recommendations team.
- Improve the search platform powered by Elasticsearch.
- Increase match personalization and pet-parent confidence through information collection and playback initiatives.
- Support data science work on search algorithms and machine learning models.
- Partner with senior engineers and cross-functional analysts, designers, and data scientists to break down requirements and deliver features.
Requirements
- 1–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Graduation from a formal computer science or engineering program.
- Experience using AI tools in technical and non-technical workflows.
- Strong foundation in software development practices, system design, code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
- Strong communication skills, including building consensus and addressing ambiguity with stakeholders.
- Current U.S. work authorization without the need for current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python/Django, Elasticsearch, React, or React Native.
- Experience with search or two-sided marketplaces.
