Software Developer (JavaScript)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; work is primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.

Salary: $86,800–$198,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance legacy enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and fix software defects.
• Use programming and scripting languages to support application functionality.
• Upgrade systems to meet security requirements.
• Advise clients on improving and modernizing existing systems.
• Collaborate with software professionals in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
• Experience with HTTP GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE methods.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Git, and version control strategies.
• Experience working with an Agile software development team.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of software development experience, or 6+ years of experience without a degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue 3, Node, Express, or Koa.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or Neo4j.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
• Scrum Master certification such as PSM, CSM, or SSM.
