Software Developer, Full Stack (PHP)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; hybrid with 2 in-office days per week

Salary: CAD $79,800–$107,100 annually

What you will do

• Develop full-stack product features with a focus on backend development using PHP and Laravel.
• Build and improve communication services, APIs, databases, and infrastructure supporting email delivery, notifications, abuse prevention, and operational reliability.
• Implement user-facing improvements, backend optimizations, and scalable system enhancements.
• Write clean, efficient, and documented code while participating in code reviews and maintaining coding standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, stakeholders, and experienced developers from development through release and ongoing support.
• Apply new technologies to improve performance, security, and development processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a full-stack software developer building custom web applications.
• Experience with PHP and preferably Laravel, Yii, or Symfony.
• Experience with JavaScript and preferably Vue.js, React, jQuery, ES6, or Webpack.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, HTTP, RESTful services, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Availability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Vancouver, Canada, with 2 in-office days per week.
