Software Development Engineer, Cloud Platform (AI)

What you will do

• Build a secure connectivity layer for deployed robotic devices to support software deployment, telemetry, and customer support.
• Design enterprise-scale account, permissions, authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access models.
• Move deployment and device-fleet infrastructure from on-premise hardware to the cloud, including versioning, distribution, authorization, and role-based access control.
• Build data paths from field devices into internal systems for triage, labelling, debugging, and model training.
• Implement infrastructure cost attribution, data lifecycle policies, development and production separation, and capacity planning.
• Turn internal tools into documented, authenticated products with status tracking and failure alerts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience building backend or platform infrastructure with ownership of systems used by other engineers.
• Strong cloud experience, preferably AWS, and fluency with infrastructure as code.
• Practical experience with VPNs, tunnelling, NAT traversal, certificates, identity management, and secure enterprise connectivity.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant account models where access-control errors can affect physical systems.
• Experience operating under SOC 2, ISO 27001, TISAX, or a similar compliance framework.
• Python fluency, experience with job orchestration or data pipelines, and strong observability and cost-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing edge or embedded-device fleets, air-gapped or disconnected deployments, or containerized delivery to customer hardware.
• Previous experience in robotics, manufacturing, or another industrial environment.
