Senior Engineer, MDR (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, USA; regular travel of up to 50% may be required.

Salary: $117,200–$175,800 per year, including applicable geographic adjustments.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable security applications, integrations, and automation frameworks for MDR services.
• Lead engineering initiatives from design through deployment and improve detection and response capabilities.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and automate repetitive security and IT tasks to reduce manual effort and response times.
• Develop scripts, APIs, and tooling with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Go.
• Deploy and maintain security tools across diverse enterprise environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support complex digital forensic investigations involving system logs, network traffic, and endpoint data.

Requirements

• Remote work from the USA is required.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in security engineering, security automation, SOAR, incident response, detection engineering, EDR support, or vulnerability management.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience building applications in Python and scripting with Bash and PowerShell; programming experience with Go is also relevant.
• Experience with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, Sophos, or SentinelOne, automated threat hunting, detection tuning, and deployment across enterprise environments.
• Experience with asynchronous microservices, testing, observability, Active Directory, MDM solutions, and cloud security across AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Advanced security or cloud certifications, including CISSP, CISM, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, GCIH, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Experience with Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, or AG Grid.
