Head of Engineering Operations (Fintech)

Location: Remote (Team members mainly based in Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus)

Compensation: €6,500–€7,300 gross per month

What you will do

• Run the engineering leadership cadence, including director-level syncs and decision tracking.
• Own the quarterly OKR and QBR cycle, driving teams to set objectives and prepare reviews.
• Identify and resolve stalled or ownerless cross-team initiatives by assigning clear ownership.
• Synthesize complex organizational data into decision-ready material for the CTO, executive team, and board.
• Standardize planning, tracking, and communication rituals across the engineering organization.
• Facilitate special projects and cross-departmental initiatives, handing them off to permanent owners once chartered.

Requirements

• Fluent English (C1+) and Russian required for internal and external communications.
• Proven track record as a TPM lead, Head of Engineering Operations, or equivalent in an engineering organization.
• Experience driving operational efficiency in organizations of 100+ people.
• Ability to coordinate multi-team initiatives through influence without direct line authority.
• Strong executive synthesis skills and experience with operational discipline.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and its application in engineering workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with procurement, vendor contracting, or engineering budgeting.
• Background in nonprofit-tech or the payments domain.
• Familiarity with the tech stack: Node.js, React, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Kafka.
