TL;DR
Software Engineer (AI) (PHP/Laravel/Vue): Building and maintaining interconnected backend services, frontend features, APIs, and event-driven workflows with an accent on AI-assisted development, reliability, and scalability. Focus on designing asynchronous processing, coordinating changes across services and databases, and validating AI-generated code through testing, review, and deployment.
Location: Remote within Europe: Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Croatia, Slovenia, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, and Czechia

What you will do
- Build and maintain backend services and frontend features across a large service ecosystem.
- Design and implement REST APIs, integrations, business workflows, and shared libraries.
- Develop asynchronous processing with queues, retries, scheduled tasks, and event-driven data flows.
- Design reliable, scalable solutions spanning multiple services and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Use AI coding assistants to navigate complex codebases, accelerate development, and improve engineering workflows.
- Own features end to end, including analysis, implementation, testing, code review, deployment, and architectural collaboration.
Requirements
- Professional experience as a senior software engineer and daily experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong fundamentals in architecture, API design, data modeling, asynchronous processing, testing, and debugging.
- Experience with at least one modern backend ecosystem, such as PHP, Python, Node.js, Go, Java, or .NET.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Docker Compose, Git, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies, evaluate AI-generated code, validate solutions, and take ownership of technical decisions.
- Ability to work remotely from one of the listed European countries.
Nice to have
- Experience with PHP and Laravel or Vue.js.
- Experience with event-driven or microservices architecture, ClickHouse, or data pipelines.
- Experience building shared libraries, reusable packages, Cypress, Postman, AWS, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience creating AI development workflows, custom agent tools, or automation.
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.
