Software Engineer (PHP)

Location: Remote from Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, or Kyrgyzstan

What you will do

• Design new backend services and maintain existing modular monolith services.
• Build markup, widgets, and Vue 3 interfaces for event registration and related workflows.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate third-party services for event schedules, networking, and ticketing.
• Design Doctrine entities, analyze query execution plans, and optimize MySQL performance.
• Cover changes with unit and functional tests while maintaining documentation.
• Deploy changes and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• Production experience developing and maintaining PHP/Symfony applications.
• Experience structuring modular applications with clear responsibilities and dependencies; familiarity with DDD.
• Experience building REST APIs and integrating services.
• Experience with Vue 3, including layouts, UI behavior, and API integration.
• Experience with MySQL and Doctrine, including entity design, relationships, query plans, and slow-query optimization.
• Comfort with testing, static analysis, architectural rules, enforced code style, and writing technical documentation and tickets in English.
