What you will do
- Lead and grow multiple Web and WebApps engineering teams supporting connected TV and device platforms including Samsung, LG, Xbox, and Vizio.
- Define the engineering vision, technology strategy, and roadmap for consumer-facing digital platforms.
- Drive architecture decisions for scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing web applications serving millions of users.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, DevOps, QA, Platform, and executive leadership teams on strategic initiatives.
- Establish engineering practices for architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, accessibility, and operational excellence.
- Lead hiring, succession planning, performance management, career development, and mentoring for engineering leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams or organizations.
- Experience building and scaling enterprise-grade web applications and smart TV or streaming platforms such as LG webOS or Samsung Tizen.
- Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Vue, Nuxt, REST APIs, GraphQL, and Micro Frontend architectures.
- Experience designing cloud-native applications on AWS or similar platforms, with strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, security, and performance optimization.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, business alignment, Agile delivery, organizational growth, hiring, coaching, and talent development skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with OTT, media streaming, digital entertainment, CDN, video streaming, and media delivery architectures.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility, SEO, web performance optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring tools, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and modern engineering productivity tools.
