Senior Manager, Engineering (AirOps)

Location: Hybrid at the Bogotá office, Colombia.

What you will do

• Lead 50+ software engineers, including SRE/DevOps engineers, managers, and senior individual contributors across multiple Scrum teams.
• Build trust, accountability, continuous learning, performance management, career paths, and succession planning.
• Coach engineering managers, teams, and stakeholders in Lean-Agile and SAFe practices while improving quality, delivery predictability, and cross-team execution.
• Support train and program leadership with delivery, customer feedback, SAFe artifacts, escalations, and operational decisions.
• Translate product strategy into execution and promote innovation across Flight, Baggage, and Ramp Operations.
• Lead customer engagements and escalations while driving stability, reliability, security, and operational support for mission-critical systems.

Requirements

• Strong experience leading large software engineering organizations of 30+ people across multiple teams.
• Solid understanding of Lean-Agile practices; SAFe experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver mission-critical, safety-sensitive systems.
• Experience communicating with and influencing senior leaders and customer executives.
• Track record of delivering complex programs across multiple products, sites, and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of designing, building, and operating large-scale systems that run 24x7, 365 days a year.
• Great communication skills in English.
