Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday

Salary: $124,000–$187,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect scalable and resilient distributed systems, including service boundaries, data contracts, and cross-team API standards.
• Build responsive, high-performance applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript, and related modern technologies.
• Develop cloud-native services with containers and microservices across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Improve performance, observability, developer productivity, and continuous delivery through AI tooling, code generation, and test generation.
• Establish AI-first engineering practices, including human-in-the-loop development, debugging, and AI-powered product features.
• Mentor developers, build consensus, evaluate emerging technologies, and deepen platform knowledge of the commercial real estate industry.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production development experience with modern technologies such as React, Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, C#, .NET, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, or NoSQL.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
• Experience building and launching successful products and platforms at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing for high availability, horizontal scalability, production observability, cloud services, Agile/Scrum, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
• Experience using AI to improve design, development, testing, and code review, plus the ability to mentor developers and build consensus.
• Must be currently eligible to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience managing large enterprise codebases, code quality, and dependencies.
• Experience with C#, Node.js, or React; building AI agents and workflows; and implementing AI-powered product features.
• Commercial real estate knowledge.
