Account Manager II (Logistics)

Location: Hybrid role with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in the office; targeting candidates local to or willing to relocate to the San Diego/Encinitas and Los Angeles area, with relocation to Flock Freight’s San Diego headquarters.

Salary: $65,000–$73,000 per year plus commission opportunity. Full-time employees may also receive equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to support customer relationships and day-to-day account needs.
• Conduct weekly customer touchpoints, identify expansion opportunities, and drive upsell activity.
• Manage freight quoting, strategic load acceptance or rejection, coverage execution, and load board activity.
• Own operational execution from quote through invoice, including escalations, issue resolution, and service metrics.
• Coordinate quarterly business reviews with key decision-makers and maintain customer SOPs.
• Manage rate structures, fuel surcharges, accessorial agreements, billing issues, collections, and credit needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in the freight or logistics industry.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong accountability, urgency, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills.
• Attention to detail while multitasking across projects and changing priorities.
• Ability to work in the hybrid San Diego-area arrangement or relocate to the San Diego headquarters.
