Head of Products (Energy Software): Owning product strategy and multi-year roadmap execution across energy software products supporting smart metering, energy markets, and utility integrations with an accent on customer value, commercial opportunity, technical feasibility, and AI-DLC adoption. Focus on leading product managers, translating energy-sector regulation into product opportunities, shaping pricing and go-to-market, and aligning product discovery with engineering architecture and delivery.
Location: Remote - UK; UK based only

What you will do
- Own the product strategy and multi-year roadmap across MarketFlow, MeterFlow and the DCC adapter.
- Lead, coach and develop Product Owners and Product Managers while raising product management standards.
- Engage with customers and industry stakeholders to identify needs, validate opportunities and prioritize the roadmap.
- Translate energy-sector developments, including Net Zero, smart metering, market-wide half-hourly settlement, grid flexibility, REC and embedded generation, into product opportunities.
- Shape commercial opportunities with the Commercial Director, including pricing, packaging and go-to-market plans.
- Partner with technology and engineering leadership on AI-DLC adoption, architecture, feasibility, delivery quality and product governance.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience turning market and customer insight into commercially successful product strategy in a B2B software business.
- Strong understanding of the energy, utilities or another regulated technical B2B software sector.
- Proven experience leading and developing Product Owners and/or Product Managers.
- Technical credibility in engineering and architecture discussions, including grounded trade-off decisions.
- Experience with AI-assisted or AI-driven development practices and strong knowledge of discovery, prioritization, roadmapping and outcome-based delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills across customers, engineering, commercial and leadership groups.
Nice to have
- A degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent product leadership experience.
