Womenswear Buyer - Denim

Location: Enderby office, Leicester, United Kingdom; typically 5 days in the office, with core hours flexible between 8am and 6pm.

Salary: £50,000–£90,000 per year.

A large retail business operating online and through physical stores, with product, e-commerce, marketing, and specialist sourcing functions.

What you will do

• Develop commercially successful womenswear denim product ranges and seasonal collections.
• Build supplier relationships, analyse data, plan across product categories, and manage product selection and development.
• Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, technologists, e-commerce, marketing, and sourcing teams.
• Optimise online sales through tone of voice, imagery, and other e-commerce tools, and coordinate campaign and e-commerce shoots within department budgets.
• Manage the critical path, identify new product opportunities, and deliver agreed sales, markdown, and profit KPIs.
• Manage, delegate, and motivate team resources while travelling frequently to source products and prices and regularly signing off ranges.

Requirements

• Experienced buyer with the ability to manage multiple product ranges effectively.
• Strong analytical and planning skills, with the ability to identify current trends and understand market competition.
• In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry and expert knowledge relevant to the category.
• Proven track record of identifying opportunities to streamline the critical path and trade ranges in-season.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and collaborative team-player mindset.

• Experience specifically in womenswear and denim buying.
