Buyer (Footwear)

What you will do

• Plan and deliver commercial footwear ranges based on trends, pricing architecture, seasonal variations, and customer profiles.
• Collaborate with merchandising and design teams on supplier strategy, brand stories, palettes, key items, and critical paths.
• Negotiate prices, supplier contracts, sampling, cost prices, and delivery requirements.
• Own product quality, option counts, pricing structures, range reviews, and corrective actions based on returns.
• Lead weekly trade meetings and make decisions on repeats, restyling, cancellations, late buys, and missed opportunities.
• Coach and develop the buying team, manage workloads, and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

• Current experience at Junior Buyer or Buyer level for a womenswear fashion brand.
• Proven experience buying footwear for an independent product area.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Strong supplier management, communication, organisation, commercial judgment, and profit-focused thinking.
• Ability to remain flexible and reactive to trading performance while planning ahead.
• Ability to travel as required for supplier visits and trend sourcing.
