Buyer - Colour Cosmetics (Retail)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chiswick Park, West London, UK, with onsite attendance required two days per week

What you will do

• Source, select, and secure a differentiated colour cosmetics product portfolio aligned with customer needs, brand strategy, and commercial goals.
• Negotiate cost prices and trading terms while building strong supplier and brand relationships.
• Work with Planning, Category Merchandising, Digital, and cross-functional teams to optimise inventory and grow the category across multiple channels.
• Develop product, brand, pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies based on market trends and category targets.
• Manage the critical path for launches, campaigns, events, and hero products.
• Analyse sales, margin, inventory, vendor performance, and market conditions, and travel to trade shows, supplier meetings, and industry events as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in a Buyer or comparable commercial buying role, with expertise in beauty and makeup.
• Strong understanding of customers, products, and market trends.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, including experience managing sales, margin, inventory, and vendor performance KPIs.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, supplier management, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Experience developing assortments, product strategies, and pricing plans in a fast-paced retail, omnichannel, or multichannel environment.
• High initiative, sound decision-making, and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
