Director, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) PMO & Transformation

What you will do

• Lead and prioritize the RCM portfolio across active, planned, paused, and completed projects.
• Set governance standards, clarify ownership, escalate risks, and provide executive reporting on progress, resources, and decisions.
• Lead major RCM process, technology, vendor, analytics, and automation transformation initiatives.
• Define future-state workflows, requirements, controls, testing, training, go-live support, and operational handoffs.
• Establish baselines and target outcomes, then validate financial, operational, quality, productivity, turnaround-time, and cost improvements.
• Assign work, coach PMO staff, and maintain standards for planning, reporting, testing, launch, and project closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, information systems, a clinical discipline, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare RCM, healthcare operations, consulting, transformation, or program management.
• At least 5 years leading complex programs, concurrent projects, or cross-functional teams, including people leadership.
• Strong knowledge of the full healthcare revenue cycle and payer reimbursement.
• Experience coordinating operational teams, technology, vendors, data, testing, training, compliance, and change adoption.
• Ability to prioritize work, resolve ownership conflicts, communicate with executives, and deliver measurable results.

Nice to have

• Consulting experience in RCM strategy and transformation.
• Experience in diagnostic, molecular, genetic, pathology, specialty laboratory, or other complex reimbursement environments.
• PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, HFMA, Prosci, revenue cycle, or comparable certification.
• Experience with Quadax, Salesforce, clearinghouses, payer portals, laboratory billing systems, Jira, Microsoft project tools, BI tools, automation, or AI-enabled workflows.
