VP, Engineering (AI)

Location: United States. Hybrid work is available for employees near the Bellevue, WA or New York, NY offices, with office attendance 1–3 days per week. Employees located farther from the offices may work fully remotely. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $226,300–$296,450 USD annually, plus eligible equity and applicable bonuses.

What you will do

• Own engineering execution, delivery, quality, reliability, and cost across the Creative, Audience, and Outcomes product portfolio.
• Build and lead engineering and AI organizations through hiring, development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Set technical direction for scalable, secure, maintainable services, data pipelines, customer-facing applications, and AI systems.
• Lead the development and commercialization of generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management, Data Science, Platform, and Go-to-Market teams to define roadmaps and deliver measurable customer value.
• Drive operational excellence, responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, cloud spend management, and engineering performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of technology leadership experience, including significant experience leading engineering or AI organizations through managers.
• Proven experience delivering and operating large-scale, data-intensive SaaS or customer-facing AI products in production.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, modern data platforms and pipelines, machine learning, large language models, retrieval architectures, and agentic systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional organizations across engineering, product management, and data science while remaining technically hands-on.

Nice to have

• Experience in advertising technology, media measurement, marketing technology, or consumer insights.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, streaming ingestion, warehousing, identity resolution, DevOps, SRE, or MLOps.
• Experience deploying agentic AI systems, leading platform migrations, or creating AI-enabled products and revenue streams.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and an MS or advanced technical degree.
