AI Ops Engineer (AI)

Location: AMER; remote-friendly in a globally distributed company operating across more than 25 countries.

Salary: Tier 1 $130,000–$165,000 annually with equity; Tier 2 $110,000–$145,000 annually with equity. US-based roles may receive premium market ranges in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered solutions using LLMs, automation frameworks, internal tooling, and modern integration standards such as MCP.
• Integrate AI workflows with HRIS, ATS, ERP, procurement, ticketing, CI/CD, developer tooling, CLM, Matter Management, and internal knowledge bases.
• Build document generation, data extraction, knowledge retrieval, decision-support, and model-routing workflows.
• Evaluate models for accuracy, latency, cost, quality, safety, and risk while supporting model due diligence with Security and GRC.
• Develop AI spend dashboards, tagging, monitoring, anomaly alerts, forecasting, and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Provision, monitor, version, patch, audit, and retire AI agents and their infrastructure; deliver training, workshops, playbooks, and office hours.

Requirements

• Experience building with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks.
• Experience building and consuming APIs, developing data pipelines, and architecting system integrations.
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure and experience operating production services.
• Ability to compare AI models across cost, latency, quality, accuracy, and safety dimensions.
• Experience with business systems, engineering or developer tooling, usage and billing data, or AI cost optimization.
• Understanding of data privacy, security, compliance, identity, access controls, and safeguards for non-human actors; ability to create training materials for mixed audiences.
