Senior Software Engineer, Community Builders (Frontend)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $190,800–$267,100 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing product features for community builders.
• Build features across the full development cycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
• Ensure product performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers.
• Define engineering standards, improve developer workflows, review code and design documents, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software development experience in frontend-focused languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or ES6.
• Experience with a frontend framework such as Lit, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, plus CSS.
• Ability to own projects end to end, from design through deployment and maintenance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, self-direction, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, and maintainable API design.
• Entrepreneurial experience building new products in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
