Salary: $73,245.35–$99,096.65 per year.

What you will do

  • Design and execute experiments for process development, optimization, characterization, scale-up, and chemical process modeling.
  • Analyze process data, perform process risk assessments, and evaluate facility fit for technology transfer and manufacturing.
  • Author technical documentation covering process understanding, technology transfer, risk assessment, facility fit, and process development.
  • Serve as a technical expert for laboratory equipment or systems.
  • Support manufacturing issue resolution, troubleshooting, process improvements, and equipment commissioning.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, engineers, and scientists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus 4 years of engineering experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 6 years of engineering experience.
  • Academic background in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, process development, or process engineering in laboratory, pilot, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first-principles modeling, analytical techniques, solid-state characterization, statistical analysis, and design of experiments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard plant operations and safety practices, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Availability to work in Thousand Oaks, California, with up to 20% domestic and international travel.
