Registered Nurse, PRN

Location: Onsite in Overland Park, Kansas, serving patients at a health center; active RN licenses in both Kansas and Missouri are required.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners to coordinate further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, patient records, a clean environment, and infection-control standards.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse licenses in both Kansas and Missouri are required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care clinic.
• Availability is required as needed during Monday–Friday health center hours, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
