What you will do

• Define the direction of computational biology efforts across Discovery and adapt analytical strategy as project needs evolve.
• Design, analyze, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments with cross-functional scientific teams.
• Perform rigorous, reproducible analyses of bulk and single-cell or single-nucleus transcriptomics, genomic, and other high-dimensional datasets.
• Develop and extend computational tools, workflows, and AI-assisted analysis approaches while evaluating outputs for scientific accuracy.
• Manage external analysis partners and apply best practices for code management, data management, workflow orchestration, and version control.
• Communicate findings to cross-functional teams and contribute to regulatory filings, patents, and publications.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Biology, Epidemiology, Neuroscience, Statistics, or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience analyzing single-cell or single-nucleus RNA-seq data and applying relevant statistical methods.
• Experience with tools such as Cell Ranger, CellBender, Seurat, or scanpy.
• Extensive experience using R or Python for high-dimensional biological data analysis.
• Knowledge of Git and tools for generating analysis reports, such as R Markdown or Quarto.
• Track record of impactful research, peer-reviewed publications, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with proteomics, mass spectrometry, or human genetics.
• Experience building dashboards with Shiny.
