Computational Scientist II (Genomics)

What you will do

• Lead genetics and genomics data analysis across multiple biobanks and cohorts.
• Develop AI systems and reproducible pipelines for very large datasets.
• Perform quality control and analysis of omics data, especially proteomics.
• Develop analytical methods that help collaborators interpret results and design follow-up research.
• Present research progress, prepare manuscripts and reports, and contribute to scientific conferences.

Requirements

• Experience analyzing population genetics and genetic association data, including sequencing tools, methods, and data formats.
• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in statistical genetics and bioinformatics.
• Applied statistics knowledge and strong programming skills with Linux, shell scripting, and git.
• Practical experience with Python and R, plus the ability to independently lead scientific projects through publication.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale genotyping or sequencing datasets and electronic health records.
• Google Cloud and Docker experience.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, big data, and data management tools.
