Process Quality Internal Auditor III (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead complex internal audits to verify quality management system compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and manage audit schedules and oversee timely execution.
• Lead corrective action development and implementation for audit findings.
• Drive process improvement and continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
• Train and mentor junior auditors and collaborate with departments to integrate quality standards.
• Manage external and supplier audits and develop strategies for ongoing regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of auditing or related experience; 9 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Advanced knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable military and statutory standards.
• Experience participating in external audits as a guide.
• Strong leadership, analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Certified Auditor qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with statistical analysis methodology, Microsoft Office, and databases.
• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma.
