Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Robotics)

Location: Chatsworth, California, United States; hybrid with 3 days per week on-site in Los Angeles and 2 days working from home

hirify.global is a growing manufacturing startup building robotic factory systems and the software that operates them.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, develop, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Own delivery of factory software used by internal customers to transform 3D geometry into executable robotic instructions.
• Partner with product managers to define priorities, scope work, and ship high-impact features.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and IT, legal and compliance, robotics and automation, and other engineering disciplines.
• Improve software development processes, quality practices, lifecycle management, and architectural health.
• Provide technical oversight for AI-assisted applications and recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes and software lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience building and operating software on AWS, including CI/CD pipelines and practices.
• Experience with containerized applications such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics-related software.
• Experience with CAD or 3D geometry manipulation software.
• Background in computational geometry.
• Experience with modern AI-assisted development practices or machine learning.
