TL;DR
Engineer I-IV: LabVIEW / DAQ Controls (Aerospace ISRU): Designing and testing LabVIEW-based data acquisition, instrumentation, and closed-loop control systems for reactor and purification systems supporting lunar and Martian mission technologies, with an accent on sensor integration, actuator control, and high-quality data acquisition in extreme environments. Focus on integrating hardware communication protocols, executing laboratory test plans, analyzing experimental data, and producing technical documentation for NASA engineering laboratories.

Location: Cape Canaveral, Florida, at Kennedy Space Center; on-site laboratory and test work required. Must be a US citizen.

Company

hirify.global supports advanced aerospace and NASA engineering programs, including In-Situ Resource Utilization technology development for future lunar and Martian missions.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and implement LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control systems for ISRU reactor and purification systems.
  • Integrate thermocouples, pressure sensors, limit switches, current and voltage sensors, stepper motors, linear actuators, and heating systems.
  • Develop closed-loop controls and acquire, filter, process, and log sensor data in extreme thermal, pressure, vacuum, cryogenic, and related environments.
  • Develop and troubleshoot hardware communications using RS232, I2C, CAN, and EtherCAT.
  • Support system integration, checkout, and testing in laboratory and simulated space environments.
  • Create test plans, analyze experimental results, write technical reports, and maintain electrical schematics and other engineering documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1–7+ years of relevant engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with National Instruments LabVIEW or equivalent data acquisition and control systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and logging, hardware control systems, and actuator integration.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, interpreting experimental results, and preparing technical reports.
  • Must be a US citizen; BI investigation clearance is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with harsh or extreme environments, including thermal, vacuum, cryogenic, or high-pressure systems.
  • Understanding of ISRU concepts, lunar regolith, or planetary surface systems.
  • Experience supporting NASA or aerospace R&D environments.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software in testbeds or prototype systems.
  • Exposure to model-based design, controls theory, or real-time systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time role in a hands-on laboratory and test environment across multiple facilities.
  • Combination of hardware integration, software development, and experimental testing.
  • Collaboration with mechanical, chemical, and systems engineers.
  • Limited travel as needed.
  • Fast-paced R&D setting with evolving requirements and high-impact aerospace applications.
