What you will do

• Design, test, implement, document, and support process and software improvements across the distribution floor.
• Optimize personnel and equipment utilization, material flow, operational layouts, work cells, and network SKU slohirify.globalng.
• Conduct time studies, task reviews, line balancing, ergonomics analyses, and value stream mapping to reduce waste and bottlenecks.
• Lead Kaizen, Lean, continuous improvement, and labor management events with the corporate logistics group.
• Develop measurement standards, engineered production standards, best practices, efficiency reports, and activity-based costing initiatives.
• Prepare logistics project RFQs and RFPs, evaluate vendor proposals, and assess inventory, labor, customer service, and capital cost implications.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in engineering, operations, or a related field, with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and systems, including warehouse management and warehouse control systems.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for solving complex process issues.
• Experience with time and motion studies, line balancing, ergonomics, warehouse layout and design, and process improvement.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical teams, business partners, contractors, and vendors.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in distribution engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, project management, or a related field.
• Experience with Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD, RF systems, slohirify.globalng software, SAP, and warehouse management systems.
• Project management, analytical planning, conveyor control systems, and material handling equipment experience.
• Formal Lean training and experience applying Lean management in a distribution environment.
