Data Governance & Quality Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

Location: US-DE-Wilmington; remote work option available. Occasional travel required.

Salary: $124,160–$232,800 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Establish governance standards, accountability models, stewardship processes, and governed data products for Customer Master Data and commercial data assets.
• Define and maintain metadata, business definitions, ownership, classifications, quality requirements, and certification criteria.
• Manage enterprise data catalogs, business glossaries, lineage documentation, and impact analysis.
• Support Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Snowflake, SAP, CRM, HANA, and related modern data platform capabilities.
• Profile enterprise data, define quality rules and KPIs, and develop monitoring and scorecard solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Services, Marketing, Operations, Architecture, Engineering, and Analytics teams to resolve data quality issues and improve data literacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information management, process engineering, business analytics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, data quality, analytics, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large enterprise datasets.
• Experience with data catalogs, metadata management, business glossaries, lineage, ownership models, and stewardship frameworks.
• Experience defining data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, and remediation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical governance solutions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
• Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, SAP, CRM, HANA, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of modern analytics architectures and governed data products.
