Associate Cloud Ops Engineer - Intern (Azure)

What you will do

• Protect, maintain, and enhance cloud software and systems supporting mission-critical global trade solutions.
• Standardize tools, processes, and operational frameworks across cloud products with varying levels of complexity and maturity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on security best practices, audits, testing, and compliance activities.
• Define monitoring alert response protocols, maintain operational playbooks, lead post-incident reviews, and recommend process improvements.
• Develop automation to prevent recurring issues and automate responses to non-exceptional service conditions.
• Provide 24/7/365 incident management and participate in on-call support for approximately a dozen Cloud SaaS solutions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, engineering, or engineering in test roles supporting critical production environments.
• Experience with Azure PaaS and SaaS services, including Azure AD, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Redis Cache, and Azure Web Services.
• Experience managing Azure VMs, NSGs, and Resource Groups, with familiarity with Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Windows and Linux administration skills, including bash commands such as SSH, SCP, sed, awk, grep, and netstat.
• Knowledge of cloud security, SOC guidelines, GDPR, FIS, networking, virtual networks, subnets, and firewalls.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, plus familiarity with ITIL, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SRE, and monitoring tools such as ELK, Site24x7, New Relic, and Splunk.
