Staff Product Manager, Physical AI Data & Robotics

Location: Not specified; the role includes approximately 10–15% travel to meet customers, attend conferences, and visit global data operations.

What you will do

• Own the robotics AI roadmap and the data strategy for training and evaluating physical AI systems.
• Define which robot tasks, hardware, embodiments, and data sources should support the robotics training stack.
• Build partnerships with frontier research labs, robotics startups, and industry leaders to identify policy gaps, launch benchmarks, and shape product strategy.
• Design and scale collection pipelines, annotation tooling, simulated tasks, and evaluation frameworks for robot-based and human demonstration data.
• Translate research needs into training products that meet quality, throughput, and cost targets in collaboration with ML and Operations.
• Drive execution across engineering, operations, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of direct experience in robotics or physical AI, including robot learning, manipulation research, teleoperation, data collection systems, robotics engineering, or robotics product work.
• Strong understanding of physical AI research, robot policies, vision-language-action models, and language-conditioned imitation learning.
• Product, customer-facing, or technical stakeholder experience with a record of owning outcomes and shaping roadmaps.
• Understanding of machine learning training and evaluation, datasets, environments, operational quality, throughput, and unit economics.
• Builder mindset, bias for action, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Degree in Robotics or a related quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Robotics or a related quantitative field.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in an applied research setting.
• Software engineering background.
