Distribution Planning Engineer Intern (Electrical Engineering)

What you will do

• Evaluate the current state of the electric distribution network and forecast future system needs.
• Perform load flow and short circuit analyses.
• Identify system constraints and operational risks.
• Support staff engineers with complex studies involving new loads and distributed energy resources.
• Develop solutions that maintain safe and reliable service in the near and long term.
• Complete additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Previous work experience preferred, ideally in engineering.
• Ability to work multiple non-contiguous co-op sessions.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Employment is based in Dayton, Ohio, United States.
