Intern - Transmission Engineering Services (Summer 2027)

What you will do

• Design high-voltage transmission line facilities supporting hirify.global Ohio system improvements, reliability projects, and system load growth.
• Participate in field visits to verify topography, identify obstacles, and gather design feedback.
• Meet with construction crews to address engineering concerns.
• Update discrepancies between prints and schematics, databases, and system models.
• Collaborate with substation engineering, protection and control engineering, operations, construction, planning, and project management teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
• Strong academic performance, attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with design software such as PLS-CADD or SolidWorks is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is preferred.
