Co-Op - Transmission Engineering Services (Electrical Engineering)

Location: US, Dayton, Ohio; the role includes field visits and work with construction crews.

What you will do

• Design high-voltage transmission line facilities supporting system improvements, reliability projects, and system load growth.
• Participate in field visits to verify topography and identify obstacles.
• Meet with construction crews to address engineering concerns and gather design feedback.
• Update discrepancies between prints, schematics, databases, and system models.
• Collaborate with substation engineering, protection and control engineering, operations, construction, planning, and project management.
• Complete additional assignments and shadow other engineering teams as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
• Strong academic performance, attention to detail, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with design software such as PLS-CADD or SolidWorks is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is preferred.
