Privacy Lead (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model. Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: CAD 110,000–116,000 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Operationalize the Privacy Management Program by defining action items, roadmaps, timelines, reporting requirements, and audit-ready privacy controls.
• Lead cross-functional privacy forums and align business strategies with privacy requirements across business units and stakeholders.
• Manage vendor privacy assessments, improve the PIA process, review assessments, prepare reports, and develop remediation roadmaps.
• Prepare privacy metrics, trends, leadership reports, audit responses, and regulatory examination materials.
• Maintain privacy policies, standards, procedures, and enterprise communications covering legislative and regulatory updates.
• Support data privacy event investigations, data subject complaints, Canadian privacy training, and awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and senior privacy experience in a complex financial institution, payments, technology, or fintech organization.
• IAPP certification such as CIPP/C or CIPM.
• Experience developing privacy roadmaps and implementing compliance processes in an evolving regulatory environment.
• Strong knowledge of PIPEDA, CASL, the Privacy Act, provincial privacy legislation, and OPC guidance.
• Ability to advise business units, understand complex data flows, balance business objectives with compliance obligations, and operate independently.
