Risk Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; hybrid and in-office options are available in New York City and San Francisco. Annual attendance at a 3-day company offsite is required.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 annually for Zone A (New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle); $80,750–$90,775 annually for Zone B (Remote US), plus equity.

What you will do

• Conduct company reviews, payroll monitoring, and related risk processes.
• Analyze data to identify emerging risk signals across companies and payrolls.
• Investigate and mitigate account takeover, first-party fraud, impersonation, and other fraud incidents.
• Document investigation insights and coordinate resolutions with internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Improve risk documentation, feedback loops, and processes through analysis and small improvement projects.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in risk and fraud investigation or a similar fintech analytics role.
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage investigations from start to finish and handle multiple cases.
• Clear, professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment or busy case queue.
• Ability to make judgment calls under ambiguity and determine when to escalate cases.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; hirify.global participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• SQL experience.
• Experience adopting AI tools to investigate complex problems and evaluate outputs.
• Ability to attend the annual 3-day company offsite in spring.
