Specialist Field Engineer (AI/Kubernetes)

Location: San Francisco, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA. Occasional travel to conferences and industry events is required.

Salary: $182,000–$242,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers using CoreWeave cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes in high-performance computing environments.
• Design, prototype, and deploy tailored cloud solutions and lead customer proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Lead technical meetings, presentations, workshops, and customer workload reviews.
• Identify Kubernetes product improvements and collaborate with product and engineering teams on implementation.
• Optimize large-scale AI/ML training and inference workloads and advise on product strategy and architecture.
• Prototype emerging products and solutions and represent CoreWeave at conferences and industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, field engineering, engineering, research, or technical account management for cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or HPC/cloud services.
• Expertise designing and implementing scalable Kubernetes solutions and cloud architectures.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, InfiniBand, NCCL, Slurm, and Kubernetes-based AI/ML training and inference workloads.
• Strong customer relationship, communication, and technical leadership skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility for access without authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required U.S. government authorization.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions to inference frameworks.
• Kubernetes scripting and workload automation experience.
• Experience building solutions across multi-cloud environments.
• Customer-facing publications or talks on latency, optimization, or advanced model-server architectures.
