What you will do

• Establish and lead the Human Data & Computational Biology capability within the Rare Disease Research Team.
• Develop computational strategies for target discovery, validation, and prioritization.
• Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging, clinical, and patient-derived datasets.
• Integrate human genetics and computational findings into early-stage discovery programs and therapeutic hypotheses.
• Build scalable analytical workflows and introduce emerging computational and AI-enabled approaches.
• Present scientific recommendations and contribute to external collaborations, business development, and future team development.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 7 years, bachelor's degree and 9 years, associate's degree and 12 years, or high school diploma/GED and 14 years of analytics experience.
• Experience applying computational approaches to biological and translational research questions.
• Expertise in human genetics, genomics, computational biology, or multi-omics analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex biological datasets and translate computational findings into actionable scientific recommendations.
• Experience collaborating with experimental scientists across disease areas and supporting target identification, validation, and prioritization.
• Strong scientific communication, mentoring, strategic influence, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning, AI-enabled discovery approaches, knowledge graphs, or advanced analytical methods.
• Experience mentoring scientists and helping build high-performing computational biology teams.
