Senior Scientist - Bioinformatics (AI/ML)

Location: Tarrytown, New York, United States; onsite 4 days per week and remote 1 day per week

Salary: $109,900–$179,300 annually

What you will do

• Apply and tailor generative foundation models for biomolecule design and optimization.
• Work with protein, antibody, small-molecule, and nucleic-acid datasets for curation, distillation, encoding, training, and fine-tuning.
• Adapt models using feedback from downstream experimental validation assays.
• Collaborate with wet-lab teams and clinicians on closed-loop AI model development and inference.
• Bridge artificial intelligence research with therapeutic development across multiple diseases.

Requirements

• PhD in computational biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, systems biology, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience using AI for biomolecule research.
• Familiarity with generative AI foundation models and their applications in biomolecules.
• Proficiency in a commonly used programming language such as R, Python, Perl, Java, or Linux.
• Ability to conduct collaborative computational research in a cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Background or knowledge in structural biology and/or biochemistry.
