TL;DR
Financial Analyst II (Automotive): Managing warranty EBIT reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis for Trucks North America with an accent on warranty provisions, rate planning, data validation, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on consolidating large financial datasets, maintaining SAP and reporting-system integrity, building KPI dashboards, and driving automation and AI-enabled improvements.

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants may work in or relocate to Portland; relocation assistance is not available.

Starting salary: $78,000–$100,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

  • Lead monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and planning for warranty EBIT, provisions, and related financial metrics.
  • Analyze warranty expenditures, trends, variances, risks, operational results, and business performance drivers.
  • Coordinate chassis and powertrain rate planning, including assumptions, calculations, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Prepare financial reports, KPI dashboards, management presentations, and executive reporting packages.
  • Consolidate and validate data from quality, accounting, finance, IT, and business stakeholders while maintaining reporting-system integrity.
  • Support reconciliations, system testing, process documentation, continuous improvement, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in finance or a related business function.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to work with large datasets and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently within guidelines and solve problems of moderate complexity.
  • Applicants must be permanently legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and existing visa holders are not accepted.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP, Tagetik, Power BI, data warehouses, or similar reporting tools.
  • Understanding of DTNA’s key business drivers and the ability to connect financial results to business performance.
  • Interest in automation, AI, analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to independently lead processes and projects.
