Staff Engineer -Applied AI and Salesforce

Location: US Remote

Salary: $163,400–$245,000 USD annually for Zone 1 US locations; $152,600–$229,000 USD annually for other US locations. Additional compensation includes an annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Identify, prioritize, and define high-value AI use cases with Marketing, Sales, SDR, Revenue Operations, and GTM Systems leaders.
• Design, prototype, deploy, monitor, and optimize production AI applications using Python, Azure, Salesforce, LLMs, RAG architectures, APIs, and third-party AI tools.
• Build reusable agentic solutions with orchestration, MCP servers, connectors, tool calling, and conversational experiences across Slack, chat, APIs, and Salesforce.
• Integrate AI capabilities into Salesforce and the GTM technology ecosystem through APIs, platform events, automation, and embedded user experiences.
• Establish evaluation, security, privacy, monitoring, reliability, and responsible-AI practices.
• Lead technical design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and drive adoption and workflow improvements with business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Typically 10+ years of software engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical architecture experience.
• Production experience with Salesforce, integration platforms, Python, and Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, vector or hybrid retrieval, prompt and context management, structured outputs, tool calling, and AI evaluation.
• Strong Salesforce expertise including Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, data models, APIs, integrations, automation, security, and custom development.
• Experience building production APIs, services, integrations, data-processing workflows, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated tests.
• Role is remote within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Vercel AI SDK, Mulesoft, Salesforce Agentforce, and Data Cloud.
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, model gateways, vector databases, and evaluation platforms.
