Medical Assistant

Location: Brentwood, Tennessee, United States. Full-time onsite role, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with lunch from 1:00pm–2:00pm.

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, making follow-up calls, and ordering medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• State Lab Certificate required for roles in Nevada.
• CMA certification from an approved recognized certifying body required for roles in South Carolina.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
