Training Specialist / Interpreter (Manufacturing)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States; the role works between the office and the operations floor and includes occasional travel to other sites or corporate locations.

What you will do

• Coordinate onboarding, skill verification, site training, mentor programs, and train-the-trainer programs.
• Manage the New Hire Learning Lab, training calendar, course materials, assessments, and training records.
• Support the one-year progression of new hires through hands-on learning, content creation, and competency verification.
• Maintain training materials and systems in SharePoint, Teams, Egnyte, and Workday.
• Provide Spanish interpretation and translation for meetings, videos, documentation, orientation, and onboarding.
• Support apprenticeship, safety, production, and Continuous Improvement initiatives across Architectural Metals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in organizational development, training, teaching, human resources, or a related field; equivalent operations training experience and education may be considered.
• Experience delivering training in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with hourly teams, management, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company software such as CTO-Pro and Epicor.
• Ability to work safely on the operations floor, use required PPE, lift or move up to 25 pounds, and perform regular facility movement.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Experience creating visual training aids, work instructions, and instructional materials.
