Physical Security and Information Assurance Specialist

Location: Suitland, Maryland; onsite workplace

Salary: $84,065–$113,735 per year, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with DCID, JSIG, JAFAN 6/9, and related physical security and information assurance requirements.
• Conduct or manage physical and technical security activities, including TEMPEST and TSCM procedures.
• Prepare, review, and maintain Certification and Accreditation documentation.
• Support information assurance programs, new-user and refresher training, and local media control policies.
• Enforce visitor, personnel, electronic-device, prohibited-item, and entry/exit security controls.
• Identify vulnerabilities, conduct periodic self-inspections, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and a TS/SCI security clearance are required.
• Willingness to submit to a CI polygraph is required.
• Five or more years of related experience, including experience in both physical security and IT assurance or ISSO-type duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or an associate degree plus two years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• IAT Level I certification, such as A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP, is required within six months of hire.
• Travel of 10–25% is required.
