Associate Service / Repair Technician (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic medical devices, consoles, and powered surgical equipment.
• Perform component-level repairs, replacements, soldering, wiring, bench testing, refurbishment, and rework.
• Inspect returned devices, identify electrical, mechanical, and functional failures, and complete post-repair quality testing.
• Process returned material authorizations, including receiving, diagnosis, documentation, repair tracking, and inventory transactions.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to field service and operations teams.
• Load, configure, and validate firmware and software when required while maintaining clean, compliant workstations.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical role; robotics experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements, including FDA, ISO 13485, ESD, and internal quality systems.
• Technical aptitude, attention to detail, decision-making ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience troubleshooting, loading, and testing computers is beneficial; healthcare capital equipment or clinical services experience is valuable.
• Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• Robotics background.
• Clinical services, biomedical, or radiology experience.
• Knowledge of quality or reliability engineering.
