Test Technician III (Medical Devices)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States; onsite in an indoor light industrial and production-line environment

Salary: $26.00–$31.00 per hour

What you will do

• Independently perform and lead complex troubleshooting, evaluation, and functional testing of new and used medical devices.
• Use oscilloscopes, meters, generators, power supplies, test fixtures, and other electronic test equipment to identify root causes of failures.
• Analyze circuit functions, system interactions, schematics, and technical drawings across multiple products.
• Train Technician I and II employees and act as a technical subject matter expert.
• Communicate with design engineering and document product and quality information.
• Improve testing processes, result consistency, and workplace safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
• At least five years of equivalent technician experience, or at least three years as a ZOLL Technician II.
• Strong electronic testing, circuit troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings and follow medical device procedures precisely.
• Full comprehension of written and spoken English is required because training and knowledge testing are conducted in English.
• Corrected visual acuity of at least 20/40, color differentiation, manual dexterity, and ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
